CB-350F Oil Pressure sender.
« on: April 27, 2005, 07:09:30 PM »
I am getting my 72 350F back together.  I picked up ther bike in November and have spent the Wiinter getting parts together and rebuilding the carbs, etc.  I got things back together and got it half way running. but discovered a oil leak, a pretty steady stream was comimg out of the shifterside engine cover bottom.  After removing the cover, and 10 tons of goo and gook, I discovered that the leak was coming out of the oil pressure switch.  I remermber seeing something on the site about this but couldn't  find it,  so  appolgies if I am asking again.

Is ther a generic replacement-NAPA store, compatible replacement?

I am home  recovering from shoulder surgery, I have learned many one handed mecanics tricks!!  Can't drive or ride for a while either!! But I can walk to the NAPA store.

Thanks for all the good reading on the site

In the 30+ years I've had my '72 350F the oil pressure switch is the only thing that has repeatedly failed.  I use generic ones from matching up the size at the auto parts store.  Nome I've found have the same connection but I use a short wire with the appropriate terminals to adapt it.
Cheers, Psycle Don.
