SL350 project
« on: September 19, 2010, 08:25:47 AM »
Recently a friend passed away. He left me his collection of SL350s. He had been collecting for over 20 years. There is 2 1/2 bikes in parts, 1 complete parts bike and piles of engines and other interesting parts.
I have gotten this far. I now must biuld 1 good motor from 3 bottom ends and 4 top ends. Included in the parts are a complete set of .25 over pistons, piles of gaskets and custom needle bearing cam caps.

Here is a picture of the parts bike. It sat outside for over 10 years. Everything is seized.

If you need funds to help build the one back up, sell the side covers off the others on ebay. Someone saw me hauling home my cl350 and told me i could have his sl350. So I picked it up, parted it out, and sold some stuff on ebay. the side covers brought $160.

SL350 project nearing completion. I will change these tires before I actually ride it. Someday I might even clean the garage.

Always cool to see those being taken care of and put back in shape as well. Looking good too!

Here's my K2 and I also have a '69 K0 that is in pieces and missing a few things, mainly the rear rim and a pair of side covers.
