750 clutch adjustment learnings
« on: September 20, 2010, 04:36:31 AM »
I've torn down the motor a number of times but the clutch adjustment remained a black art to me so I tried to adjust it by feel.  I finally realize why its so important to get the clutch nut adjustment perfectly and to keep enough free play at the lever.  If you don't you'll get stranded like me with no clutch due to the mechanism being extended too far and jamming.  Quick pick up from the wife and some tinkering on the side of the road with the tools I should have had in the first place got it fixed.

Like everything on this bike I've learned the hard way.
