Clutch lever Problem on 80' CB750K

        I've never had a problem like this. my clutch lever was broken when I got my 750, it was
    difficult but I could still use it. I found one on ebay complete with the cable. I got it pretty
    reasonable and figured that I'd replace the lever itself and put the rest away for spares. Then I
    tried, without success, to remove the screw that holds it in the perch. I can't get the lever mount
    screw out of either one. Then I decided to remove the handgrip, the left switch assy and trade
    out the lever assemblies. WRONG! I managed to get 2 out of the 3 screws out of the switch
    assembly. Then, I tried to carefully clamp the head of the screw with a small pair of vise grips and
    try to break it loose. It usually works but, not this time. The screw, that holds the lever in place, is
    fair size and has no nut on it. I can't tell that it's rusted but, I lubed it anyway. Has anyone dealt
    with this before and if so, do you have any suggestions? I can't believe that I'm having trouble
    with something like this. I've started working on the head of the tool with my dremel and then I'll
    have to try to get the rest of the screw out carefully as the switch housing is plastic. I hope I
    don't have to buy one of those also.  I better go.  Later on, Bill

bill,i would try to grind the head down and then hose whats left of the screw with pb blaster and grab them with vice grips and give her a go

     dusterdude,
               I'm afraid that won't work, the head is recessed. I'm trying to see it I can get the screw
       out without messing up the slot. I don't understand why the screw, in both lever assemblies,
       is so hard to get out. I guess corrosion has set up between the 2 different kind of metals. I may
       end up drilling both of them out and buying new screws. I guarantee one thing, I WILL put some
      antiseize compound on the screws before they are put in. The slot is kind of wide and not too deep
      and that makes it hard to not damage the slot. Appreciate your input & I'll catch you Later on, Bill
