Hi, my name is Scott.
I've been banging on a couple of '75 CB550fours for a few years and mostly making things worse.  I recently bought a '77 750K and want to make it a serious project.  It was on its way to being a cafe racer (drag bars, custom tank, cafe seat, pod filters) when I bought it, but I think I want to make it a bit more ride-able.  First thing I did was take it to the shop and have them put on new Spitfire tires and take a look at the carbs.  The new tires are great, I feel a lot safer and the ride is so much smoother.  The carb job is okay, but it would still blubber before half throttle.  The mechanic recommended that I replace the pods with a stock airbox.  I did that and now need to get a new air filter for it. It blubbers hopelessly at anything over a quarter throttle, but starts and idles much more smoothly.  The list of things that need doing is long and mostly cosmetic since I don't really have a good grasp of what I need to do to make the bike perform better mechanically.  That's why I'm here!  I've looked at a few of the builds and read some of the tech pages and feel confident that I can learn a lot from and be inspired by you all here.  I look forward to it.

Thanks, Scott.
