My '78 CB550 Resto project.
« on: September 27, 2010, 06:14:10 PM »
Hi everybody.  I've owned this bike for probably 3 months now and will be doing a slow restoration of it.  I've put probably 2000 trouble-free miles on it since I bought it.

All I've done was a minor tune-up and painted the tank and side covers orange (still needs wetsanding).  Just thought I'd show a quick video clip of what I'm working with!  Carbs still need a little tuning...so ignore the farts in the beginning.  Stock airbox is going back on eventually.

Watch in HD for the best sound and video!

Thanks and ride safe!

It looks great already. As a guy with his bike in pieces the past 8 months, I recommend riding it until something goes wrong! ;D

Nice bike! No kidding Theofam - I'm having trouble imagining owning enough good parts to make a complete motorcycle...  ;)
