Stock turn signal cafe spacer Mod

I needed to find a spacer in order to mount my stock 1976 Honda CB550 front turn signals on the new cafe headlight ears.  After rummaging through my workbench I came across a few "hose menders"  http://lawn-and-garden.hardwarestore.com/75-476-hose-menders/hose-mender-525145.aspx

About $2 and they look pretty decent.
