Cheap electronic ignition - anyone tried it?
« on: October 13, 2010, 12:25:09 AM »
I searched about every way I could think of and didn't see anything, so pardon me if this particular part has been discussed before.  I just found this electronic ignition; it's significantly cheaper than a DYNA, would it work on our bikes?  I'm kicking around ideas about the ignition with HondaMan's part at the top of the list, but for some reason I still like the idea of replacing the points plate completely.

1973 CB500K - not bad for a first bike
2009 SFV650 - torquey, reliable 90° V-twin

You could always try the Pamco. I have a couple hundred miles on mine so far with zero problems.
