Just stumbled upon this. Not a honda (or a SOHC) but a great and very detailed look at a vintage racebike by the man himself. And a bit of Pops history to boot. Thought I'd share.

nice to see this again,

read the original article just as i was getting into bikes back in 79', it was so detailed and well written that i kept it :) its buried in my collection somewhere.

The tip of drilling 10mm holes in the head and block was something that i remembered form that story and applied in my motor.

I found it quite interesting that the cams where not that wild, 260 duration, same numbers as the megacycle i am running in my 500.
