« on: October 22, 2010, 09:50:12 PM »
Anyone here been to Speed Week at the Salt Flats? I just watched "The World's Fastest Indian" again and now I've got the Itch to go check it out. I'd like to here from someone who's been there what it's like.

When I saw THIS thread, I figured that Frank would be popping in here.  ;)

That is one place that I've always enjoyed seeing articles about and seeing on TV, but had never thought about going, TIL NOW! I've heard Frank and maybe a few others talk about it and I hope to be able to go there soon, myself. Seems like it would be pretty AWESOME at that!  8) Of course, watching the World's Fastest Indian, didn't help.  ::)  :D

Maybe I can make it next year and You and Frank and whoever else might be able to be there also.  :)

That would be fun, to get a few of us together there..
Met Old Scrambler and his buddies there last year, and just missed meeting SooS..

It is actually under 1000 miles to MANY of us on this forum..

I've raced at Speedweek since 98....

We also run the East Coast Timing Assn. in Maxton NC and aid in the running of the new place up in Maine.... ( we just raced there in Aug..... ( you can see that venue in the newest Issue of Hot Rod Magazine, has a nice picture of my Camaro )...
