Hey Alan, you just have to think it's like AZ when you ride here in November-March. Just think of the slush and snow as New England "desert sand". ;D ;D

Hey Ed, I was out your way last week but I couldnt bring my CB so I rented an ElectraGlide. We went from Tempe to Jakes Corner, past Roosevelt Lake to Globe and then back to town,  200 miles roundtrip. Its been quite a while since I have ridden in Arizona but it was very nice indeed. It whetted my appetite for some more Arizona riding.
I might have like to try the Apache Trail instead of US60 but I was a follower not a leader. I couldn't quite make out if Arizona 88 is paved or unpaved, and if unpaved a dualsport would have been a much better choice than the Glide.
I'm jealous too, I probably took my last ride for the season today. We have an unseasonably warm 62f here today but with the daylight savings its dark and chilly by 6pm and the hunters are stirring the deer.
Whats your favorite day rides around Phoenix?

You're making me miss AZ...

I lived in the northwest, so my favorite ride was to wickenburg, prescott, jerome and then sedona...

It was actually taken on Hunt Highway, between Queen Creek and Florence.  To previous poster, Highway 88 only goes to Tortilla Flats as a paved road, then becomes a dirt road to Roosevelt Lake.

This is prime time for riding in Arizona, i guess that is why all the old people flock here around this time of year......

To anyone in AZ, feel free to message me if you want a little company riding around town.

Take care and ride safe.
