breaking in top end
« on: March 17, 2006, 02:10:38 AM »
Just got my K1 on the road with formaly stuck pistons.
I redid the top end with a new cyclinder and piston rings. I ran it in the garage and put about 50 miles on it and changed the oil and filter dropped the pan and cleaned out. How many more miles should I put on it before I do this again? I think the rings seated because I have not more smoke out the exhaust, thats a good thing!
Thanks
Craig

The Honda owners manual indicates the first service at 500 miles for oil and filter change. And 3000 mile intervals thereafter.
