'76 750F carbs on a '77 750K motor?

Just now thinking of this.. I just bought a '77 750K replacement motor for my '76 750F. Will my original carbs fit, or do I need to get some '77s? Please say they'll fit!  ;)

Yes, you will need the intake tubes from the F.

They'll fit. If you want to use the stock airbox, you'll need the hoses Mark M mentioned. If you decide you REALLY want the '77 carbs, I think I have a set around here...would trade them for the '76 carbs with those 27301 needles, too!  ;)

Unfortunately I don't have the stock airbox. PO had pods on it when I bought it. Will be going that route at some point though. On the opposite side, are the boots between the carbs & the engine the same? The ones on the bad motor are pretty hard and I'll probably need to replace. Can I just get at set such as this:

Try the ones you have in some nice hot water (boiling) for a bit, pour a kettle full over them in a suitable container - leave them long enough to be safe to handle then see what they are like, before you condemn them to scrap.

Will do Mark, Thanks. But assuming they're shot, are they universal? Can I just get pretty much any set off ebay and that will work?

The wintergreen oil method also works wonders on hardened boots.  Search for it on this forum.
