Just closed up shop for the evening and took a few more photos of Anthony's CB750 on my way out. There's still a handful of items on the To Do list but she's 98% there. Just finished installing the new Motogadget M Lock, setting up the Dyna Ignition, and a bit of tuning work.
The bike fired right up after a long slumber and sounds quite nice with the CR's and Kerker 4 into 1. This is my first time working with CR carbs and I'm curious to see how they work out for street application.
*The Motogadget RFID ignition was a really nice finishing touch and works spot on. If anyone's working on a minimal looking build or looking for a nice keyless set up- this is worth checking out. Easy installation and the bike powers up by waving a key fob over a sensor which is hidden in an easily accessible location. Some jedi looking magic when you go to turn the bike on.
*The Benji Tank and Seat Combo was a bit rough to work with and install. Hyam at Dr Moto did a miraculous job with the refinishing and paint work and managed to salvage some otherwise rowdy looking parts. Fitment was a major issue and I ended up cutting/welding the mounting plates and re-drilling the mounting holes in order to get everything installed. There was a massive amount of bondo in both pieces and the weight is off the charts. Petcock holes were drilled out backwards and the original tail light wasn't close to flush mounted. I hate to badmouth anyone's work and efforts but I was ready to stab myself in the face after countless hours spent trying to get these "bolt on" parts to look presentable and mount properly.
Oh- one quick question- does anyone happen to have or know where to source a set of stock CB750 exhaust studs? We need all 8. I've been looking everywhere but no luck. I'm using metric bolts at present but would like to swap them out if possible. Thanks!
