Topic: Stuck CB750 Pipes...HELP!!

Well, the gang came through on identifying my carburetor problem on the 74 I am trying to resurrect, so I'm thinkin I might get lucky again.  Trying to figure out the best way to separate some stuck factory 4/4 headers from the bike, and very unsure of the right way to go about it.  Exhaust is original, and in very nice shape, but needs to be disassembled for some heaviy cleaning of it and the clampps, which are fairly rusty.  I have been spraying DeepCreep onto the joint for a few days, but no signs of it separating.  Does anyone have any tricks they've used?  Don't want to damage the headers!!

Its kind of a twist,turn, pull and wiggle motion on the head pipes once the clamps are good and loose.

.........and sometimes a wooden handle for some lever-force between the pipe and frame.......or a tap or two with a rubber mallet at the rear while holding the pipe with one hand.......nothing too extreme!

I've found that acetone and ATF in a 50/50 mix is the best for penetrating.  Also, use a baseball bat for prying the pipes forward.  If that doesn't work, use the bat on the gas tank.
