ummm, painting anyone?
« on: December 12, 2010, 11:13:30 AM »
Im not sure if im posting in the wrong area, but I just thought I'd let everyone know that if youre looking for a painter for a tank of a body part i may be able to help. I work for Elite Bicycles and am our current painter. So I paint high end custom bicycle frames but am looking to expand to some freelance work as well.

(can also cut single color vinyls)

How much to paint a K7 tank and two side covers?
I plan to strip the tank to bare metal and the side covers are new [no paint on them].
So they would need to be primed, painted [all 1 color] and cleared.

Thanks.

how does $250 for tank n covers(if all is already stripped). I have abilities to strip as well, its just very time consuming.

This would include, soda blasting metal, priming, painting and clearing(I use two stage PPG paint)

Easiest thing would be to ship it to me and have a return label inside the box so when im done I can just go drop it off at the shipping agent.

I need the final file to be a vector for the program to read it. I have abilities to translate though, Im proficient in photoshop and Illustrator.  I use CS4 so should be able to do most anything you would need. Only down side is that its only a cutter and not a printer as well; so I can only really do single colors(although I have faked it before in making an outline over another color). What were you thinking?

That's a fair price, but shipping is a deal killer. I have found a local guy to do it. Thanks anyway.
