I hear ya Ofreen, you're one of the wests last heroes! But Portland pretty much got bypassed in the middle of the night kinda thing I expected a decent turnout there. So far only one maybe two riders for the Seattle area at one time. I guess I'm just trying to ralley some troups around here. We waited all year for GZ to pass through the PNW and now it looks like all we might see is his hind end attached to one single SOHC4 on his way out of town, which could be tonight for all I know but hopefully a few of us can get together tomorrow morninig and whoever is taking him can get out of here at a decent starting time.

Breakfast:
So we used to stop and have breakfast at a place called the Riverside in Tukwila before heading out to the countryside to ride the twisties. I think it's called the American Casino now but I'll check to see if they still do breakfast. I know they're open in the mornings when I drive by for work.

Or if you'all really want to do up Seattle right, Larry's Greenfront in Pioneer Square serves breakfast. I don't think parking would be an issue for a few bikes at 7:30 - 8 on a satruday morning. Any other suggestions?

I like the Riverside idea. Used to be a truck stop - good food. Used to have hot chicks too during the Country/Western era. Who's in? What time?

It's the Great American Casino now but they still serve breakfast at the Tomato restaurant inside. I'd make it down around 8am. The question is will GZ's chauffer make it? Anybody else?

I'm meeting tlbranth at 6 pm today at Mclenden's hardware in Woodinville to make the hand off. I think a lot of the reason there hasn't been a bunch of riders gathering is because we're being rushed to move it along and people's lives are so busy scheduling has been on short notice. Anybody that wants to ride with me to meet 754 let me know.

patricke9 I wondered what happened to you man. That sucks but glad you walked away. Your 550 was pretty clean if I remember right. The Kawi KZ650 is nothing to sneeze at, that was my second choice if I couldn't find a decent Honda.

I hear ya about a tough time scheduling. I promised a friend weeks ago to help move a boat this weekend not knowing when GZ was coming through or I might ride with you at least some of it. My 550 is running better than it ever has and I'm itching to go for a long ride.

Well, if the GZ thing doesn't work out, Momma and I would be willing to do a ride with you....3 pass loop, north cascades, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, Peninsula. I'm sure there's a few good days left before the grey sets in fo our 9 months of drear.

Just got a chance to check back in on the thread. Today, Saturday, won't work for me... I coach my daughters soccer team and we have two games today. Please tell me GZ is staying longer then 1 day in the Seattle area. I understand the logistics can be a major pain in the a$$.

That's a shame but understandable. Maybe next year. Have a safe and warm trip Rat. Sundays weather looks really crappy on the west side of the mountains. Get a pic or two for the Rider's Log. I was hoping somebody would take a pic of GZ climbing the Space Needle.

Monday is looking best for the ride to Oroville. I'll see if 754 wants to do it that day. We could meet for breakfast before I leave. I'm hoping to break away today sometime to ride around and take photos with GZ at some Seattle sites. I'll know more when the wife gets up and I can talk with her about what her expectations are for my helping out around the house.

Well, I now have Godzilla in my possession and plan to ride to Omack or Oroville on my 400f on Monday. I'm letting you or anybody you know that has a SOHC4 Honda that they are free to ride with me on Monday. I might cover 500 miles in one day so it'll be a chore. I plan to take lots of breaks. I know Monday is a work day so I doubt a lot of people will join me, if anybody does at all. Here's the route I'm taking, for some reason the picture of the map is showing a different route. I will phone you this afternoon, Sunday should give a chance for some locals to meet GZ.
The mountain passes will be less than kind siin if the waether get cold and wet.. one more time across the mountains to get it to me, and then the US part is complete.
one more leap iver the mountains from here in Kelowna to get it towards Seaweb.. no one is stepping up yet to meet me except I think Seaweb.
The nextweekend coming will hpoefully get it near Vancouver..

Well not to put a wrench in it Greg, but I don't think you'll make Oroville in 5 hours. And 500 miles in one day is a chore on a Gl1500, let alone a 400. However, I'm thinking of joining you. So give us particulars and maybe we can set up a meeting point - maybe for breakfast. I'm going to be checking out Motel 6 availability in the area - just in case.

5 hours is travel time, with gas stops and breaks it'll be longer I'm sure. I know it's a long day but I might have to work Tuesday. Traveling tomorrow would suck due to weather conditions so, eventhough it's a long day I'm not sure I have an option.

FWIW, I have a friend who travels to Tonasket regularly from Seattle. Tonasket is a tad south of Oroville. I've been several times myself. The shortest and fastest route is over US2 to US97 at Wenatchee then north on US97. Not as scenic as the North Cascades but since you're in a hurry........It's not a bad ride.

Brewster may be better if you are taking the shorter route..
Brewster is a bit bigger, and a bit more to do if one is waiting an hour or two. I would rather be arly than late. Just have to make sure to leave your bike where it is seen whoever gets there first..
