Sorry to hear, but I’m afraid I’ve got that beat.
That is such a heartbreaker, Cal.  Glad your oldest is on the mend.
Is there anything worth picking off that wreck?
Thanks for the well wishes, Don, but Only the memories are salvageable. Adjuster stopped once the repair costs exceeded $15k and he hadn’t even gotten past the tank. Frame sneered at the steering head, front end toast, cluster, exhaust, cooling, tank, bodywork, seat... all gone. But he’s still here and going to mend up. Already looking for the replacement ride for Spring.

Maybe the upcoming KTM Duke 790

Dang Cal, hope you are OK! Or whomever was riding the S1000R is OK... That is one nasty looking wrecked bike.
I hope you and RustyOlive have your insurance paid up and valued appropriately...unfortunately Cal yours look pretty much toasted.

Rusty...other than tank, all can be done fairly easily and inexpensively...  Would hope you filed a police report...but that tags your bike as having been in an accident.
Any traffic cams or bank cams to catch the offending vehicle?

Does anyone in Canada preferably near Toronto have a spare 1976 Honda CB750F rear spoked wheel hub/carrier/caliper (for disc)?  Cam aka RustyOlive needs to source one to repair his Olivia build.  I have a hub but not the caliper and carrier but I'm in the US and shipping is stupid expensive to cross to border.  PM me or Facebook message Cameron Bateman on Facebook if you have one.
