« on: March 22, 2006, 01:26:20 PM »
Here's the storey, had wonderful weather all last week and had ridden the bike all week with out any problems, well on the way home Thursday, pull smoothly away from the traffic light all seems well, about that time I hear the sound of metal braking, the bike gets a lot loader and starts to lose power, here's the best part, got the bike quickly to the curb look down and see the muffler  is gone the metal strap that had been fabricated to support it broke clean in to,well as I am trying to take this all in I turn around just in time to see a city bus run over the muffler, than a car ran over it than anther and so on ,you get the picture, well the muffler is now flat as a pan cake. :D
Any body else have anything like this  happen to you.
Got the replacement in the mail this afternoon should be  back on the road later today.

Just the other day I was ridding and my expensive rechargable flash light hit the road, I flipped around to get it and while waiting for traffic to clear two cars run it over.  The light was fine after all.
I farted and made my son cry.

Some years ago I went to Madrid downtown for the "Bicycle day". Downtown Madrid is cut to the motorized traffic and only bycyles and skates are allowed for a couple of hours. It's cool because you can enjoy the city among 4 or 5 thousand bikers more. I took my classic bicicle, with that classic looks and of course a period aluminium pump. When hitting a bump the pump fell. I suddenly stopped to pick it up, just to see a motherf$%er run over it on purpose with his mountain bike. After biker number 200 has run over it I gave up hope of ever recovering the flattened remains of it.
