What can I use to dissolve por15 that has set up?

I looked in my tank and found that the old owner poured por15 in the tank with out cleaning it first. What can I use to get the hardened por15 out Thanks for the help George Clogett

I think they make a solvent for removing it, not sure if this is it http://www.por15.com/SOLVENT/productinfo/SVQ/TechInfo.asp

Did the PO do that before or after you agreed to buy the bike? You may have made him very angry! If so, he sure got even.

Seriously, others here, may have a better answer but you may want to contact the Mfg of por15. 'Bet they know.

I think you have to bring it to area 51, apparently they have some alien technology that can remove the POR15 and restore the nice zinc coating... Of course the tank is then so radioactive you cannot ride the bike for 13,000 years... That stuff is nearly indestructable but if anyone would know how to remove it it would be the manufacturer.

Quality paint stripper works on Kreeme,of course you have to be very careful to not get any on the outside if your not re-painting.

ah well, I did look in the tank when we were inspecting the bike on purchase, but I did not use a flash light and missed how gnarly it was way down there  :'( I was hoping that using "The Works."  At 20% Hydrochloric acid it ought to make a dent.... agitate with some bike chains for easy removal and neutralize with warm water and backing soda then coat the tank with ATF and let dry. worked wonders before on the 75 550F

If that doesn't do the job, take it to a radiator repair place, they will strip it for not much....
