CB650 Cafe seat
« on: January 09, 2011, 09:25:57 AM »
I fabricated this seat for a buddy of mine who is building a 1979 CB650 Cafe style.
He designed the look gave me the dimensions he wanted, I laid it out, cut, shaped, and tig welded together.
Took about 2hrs start to finish, it is 20ga cold roll steel, he later sanded the welds with a sanding wheel.

Sorry the pics are crummy, all I had was my phone and the lighting was bad.

It reminds me of an 80's model Chevy Monte Carlo.... ;D

Wake up, look up, there's a warmth up there
a reminder of peace, a reason to care.

you should start making these for 750s. For people that cant afford the 300-400 ones. Hell you can give me one for free and put your name all over it

Lol, right. :D

I have thought about making some seat pans and trying to sell them.
I might in the near future, I'll have to figure up how many I can get out of a 4 x 10 sheet, and how much time I have in them, to determine the selling price.

Yeah there are almost no cafe seats built for CB400F's. I'd pay $300 for a good one if I knew it fitted.
