We will be going Friday as well but trailering. If anybody from the east end is riding and wants to drop some gear, I can take it out. I'm in the Brimley/ Eglinton area.

It's running!!!!!!! Looks like I should be able to ride into Paris. I'd be happy to ride from Toronto with someone. Or even meet up east of the city. Maybe we should throw our cell phone numbers up here. I'm thinking Friday morning to drive out. I'm in the Beaches in Toronto. (416)-809-5138. John.

Someone just emailed me that the Paris rally is this coming weekend...I was shocked as I had planned on going June 18... so I've just checked and the rally is "NOT" this weekend.

+1 - I got that email also. Maybe 70cbk0 is planning to check it out a week early for us?

I am planning to be there. My son is coming also with a carload of 77/78 CB750 parts for the swap meet that I have left over (or in case I break down on the way  :). We're back and forth about whether to go Friday night or Saturday morning and as I am a bit west from most of you, we will probably be a caravan of two going whenever we go.  I'll see you all there I guess. I will try to have a cookindaddy sign at our "sale"

Big thanks to Boner for organizing this and for extending an invite.  Lamentably it won't work for me this time, though.

I have been trying my best to have my 750k8 ready for this date! Was up till midnight last night bodyfilling and epoxy priming my tank. Hope to get it all primed up this weekend and as mush base and clear as I can. Time is seriously running out for me.  I hope to make it there, and meet some faces behind the keyboards.

Ryan.

Okay you Western Boys!
I need a route to the Paris rally from the south end of Lake Simcoe , must hit every twisty there is, bypass any major town or highway and never have any radar on it. Scenery is a plus especially BIKINI clad ladies trees & countryside are okay too.
Any suggestions are welcome as we only ever ride the N/E routes.

Maybe next time Cptn, look at joining us at the Vintage races in August.
And still waiting for a western boy to suggest a route we can take down to Paris.
Dave and I will be leaving Friday mid morning from the South end of Lake Simcoe and would love to hook up with other riders on the way down, just post here and we can hook up.
Strawhouse if you want to join us we will set a meeting point, just let us know.
Finally :) we will be riding Triumphs if that matters :) saving the Honda's for the August meet.

Hello Lads. I will be driving in on Sat morning with my son. The bike is no where close to coming together. 3 in soccer and 5 hrs of lawn to cut every week leaves me no time.
Might Camp as well. Hope for good weather either way. Hope to see many from this site, Cheers for now.
The older I get the faster I was.

ok, bike is running pretty good, but I've got it at Ontario Cycle Salvage for their senior Honda specialist to tweak the timing/carbs. 8kms since the restore/rebuild, maybe I'm crazy to head out with it for a 2 hour ride, but I'm going for it! So, anybody who's been there before know how early would be good to get there? I know pre registration starts at 9, but I can't see getting there that early. I've got morning rush hour to deal with. If I left at 9:30ish, I'd miss most of the bad stuff, get there by noon. Is that a decent arrival time? Thanks, John.
I could meet anyone for the ride..........

Mine is finally together and running  :P, with 4 days to spare. Did a shake down today for 10 miles. Everything seems okay other than the idle seems a bit off, but then again it always has been a bit off. The only leak is the crankcase oil drain bolt, so far, better there than where it was coming from before I guess.

Hi guys, I'm now wondering if I might go on Saturday morning instead. Stay over Saturday night, apparently Friday is really a set up kinda day for campers and people with booths, or people selling parts. I was also told if you want to put your bike in the show, you have to leave it in till Sunday morning when they do the awards. so....maybe I'll go Saturday, leave Sunday at the end of it all.

I'll probably be there Sunday morning on my cb400f.  Hopefully the weather is good. Still thinking of the best route from Toronto.

Hey cb750k0, since you had the bike apart I'd try and test the charging system before I'd go.  It'll run great until the battery looses it's charge half way to Paris.
