I know where there is a set of "like new" magnesium wheels in the size you want TG.  ;D The guy isn't sure (nor am I ) if they are Morris or Campi.

I have a set of 87-88 FZR1000 wheels...i'll have to take a look at them and see what they are. I had them originally to swap onto an FZ750 i used to have...popular option since the 16" front FZ750 as stated before had VERY limited tire options.

EDIT: Well some quick online research yields the FZR1000 wheels on the Genesis model (87-88) are a 17" front and 18" rear...not sure about widths that i'll have to measure or might be stamped right on the wheel?

The front stock takes a 120/70 VR17 tire and the rear a 160/60 VR18 if that helps at all for now until I get home to dig them out and measure.

Hello TG

What are you using for the front wheel ?

The stock 2.15-18",
it's seems to work fine with the AM22 110/80VB18 i am using even if the recommended width for that tire is actually 2.5".

Hi Leino

Thanks for the tip for the fzr rim

The GPZ is a 750 uni-track model with a 810 kit,  it's already up and running, had my first race on it this weekend :)

will post some more pics of it + story after i catch up with my stuff, spent the last three months in the garage..

Nice! I'm currently building a similar GPz for my brother, 810cc kit, Mike Rieck ported head, Megacycle cams etc.

ZX-9R forks, CBR rims and loads of other goodies  ;)

thanks man, but i am afraid that mailing a rim from finland to milan might cost quite a bit. Check your personal messages for details.

good luck with the build, the bike is certainly fun and fits my 1.90 height much better.

My wife is coming to Milan in the spring, I'll ask her to pack the rim in her bag  ;D
Might cause some situations at the airport though  ::)
