Looking to see who has vintage Venolia or RC Arias big bore pistons, 70, 71, 72, or 73mm that aren't currently being used.  Either 10.5:1 or 12.5:1 compression.   From destroyed right up to NOS.  Incomplete sets, whatever.  Just let me know what you have.

Is that what you mean by "kiln" Billy? ;D..... ;)

Now Mike, we have been over this.  It's going to be an amusement the park.  Museums are too stuffy.  The kids need a realistic chance to hurt themselves for it to be fun for them :o.   Nothing says danger like a bunch of obsolete disco era facaca engine parts zipping around at 10,000rpm between your legs. ???

What's your plans..? Measure weights etc..?
I have a new set of 10.5:1 70mm arias that are 10 or so years old, that are not for sale.
If you want weights or pics I can help with that.
Or are you looking for old school stuff..?

Edit : just re-read your post, vintage pistons - didn't see that first time round.

Actually all of the above.  I am interested in specs on modern big bore pistons as well for reference.  I have recently spoken with Elmer at Arias about making me custom pistons.

If you were interested in weighing your pistons rings and pins(separately preferbly), I would be very grateful.

Frankie's (Dragracer) 1999 Arias 12.5:1 k head 73s came in at 190 grams bare, minus pin, rings, circlips.  That's pretty light.

I'm interested to see where yours come in.

Here you go, all weights in grams. Manufactured in 2006

Specs sheet -

Piston bare -

Piston pin -

Ring set -

If you look at the job card, pins, clips and rings were to be customer supplied, they are wiseco - pic below.

I got these from Rob Boischeter (voxonda) and are for future use.

Regards.

I also posted this in the Wanted section but felt it might be wise to put it here also. I'm in search of a RC454 cam. Must be in good condition.

Let me know what you have. I'd like to keep my legs, arms and testicles so please don't beat me up on the price.

Thanks fellas.

FOR SALE...........Replica CB750 CR oil tank with Monza Lid.  MADE IN USA  All Alloy copy of the tanks used on the Daytona CB750 CRs with a few improvements. Same dimensions and ready to attach to your custom frame-mounts. Improvements include interior baffle-plates and metric-wrench bases at the bungs to prevent torquing the tank when attaching the oil-lines. All standard fittings for original oil-line fasteners.  We have sold one unit, have one in stock, and will take orders for more with a 60-day lead-time. The current tank has a 2-inch Monza lid. We can also fit the standard twist-cap with the dip-stick as used on the original Daytona racers, and an optional 2nd vent tube is available.

PRICE: $900 plus shipping and insurance from Wisconsin.  At the present, that's several hundred less then the units from England (if available) or Germany.

Thanks for looking............If you wish to order, please use a PM.

FRANK in the 10's : This square tube swing arm is not a club footed but a well built gusseted PRO-MADE  8 7/8" between the mounts w/bushings , with a 16mm hole , axel is 20mm, and it is 9 3/4" between the rear inside slides, dual air fittings on side rail and cross brace that is gusseted, raises shock or strut mount that you can drill your own holes or use the 5 3/8" slide front or back pre-drilled holes for the adjustment of your needs. NO DINGS,NO RUST, STRAIGHT, COMPLETE ADJUSTER W/ BOLTS AND LOCK DOWN NUTS.
COMPARE Stock arm F =  9 1/16" Between mounts, hole 13mm [ you would be twisting with real power ] axel way smaller than 20mm [ you would be twisting that too ]
I did not measure with the dust caps on so that would add a little to the square or the stock F arm. But we race on a mostly clean tracks, so no dust caps but special made bronze bushings [ with anti size both sides ] so you can move the tire to the right to stop tire slap or sidewall wear  for a [ bigger -wider that stock rear tire ] you must have welded a ground down front sprocket onto another front sprocket to get that tire spacing in the old dayz !!!!!! then the dam chain wore a hole in the frame down tube = loved those KZ make one thing better makes a problem at another point.

FRANK in the 10's :  That square tube arm is chrome-moly. I have those SUZUKI SWING ARMS you can cut off and add to make your stock arm longer. MSP JOE threw away into a roll off scrap container [ full of arms from the many bike he built over the years] = I took out the ones you could use down the road, and a  H2 swing arm for a old days KZ fix for longer. Get ready for a 1976 CB750A [ YOUR OWN ] powerglide to run in SE , HAPPY BIRTHDAY........ cleaning out my small building.

Pops,
I may have to make plans to meet you at one of the races to pick up that GIFT. Never had an AUTO on my radar but I won't turn down a birthday present. At least Bill can then mentor me on how to make one go fast. Not trying to go slower in my old age, but sometimes you have to be wise to stay ahead in the race game.

Their you go AGAIN fast : Frank IN 10's take a old beater CB750A, getting it running, no money, get a lane and take this old beater to a slow win light against a $10,000 BUSA on the 1320' = when that green win light come on  YOUR SIDE OF THE LANES at the end of 1320', you will have a big smile on your face and the person in the other lane will limp back to the pits in SHAME .......... beat by a low cost [ in your case FREE ]  old ,heavy ,slow, but dead on the numbers S/ET bike. It's the riders  " EFFORT EQUALS RESULTS " that gets those WIN TICKETS !!!! in bracket racing.
