So I am going to be in Vienna for July and part of August. I was thinking about renting a bike.

It would be nice to drive from berlin to Vienna. Thats probably ridiculously expensive.

My budget doesnt exist, but if anyone has an old bike I could rent or know of a place thats cheap let me know please.

I was thinking maybe out side of Vienna proper would be a better place to look.

Hy, i am living in Vienna, most time of the year ( except the summer months :-S )
and its possible to rent a bike, but rental would cost almost as much as an old ,used bike :-D

Price are € , at the moment, 1€= 1,36$ :-D i don´t know how long you planed yout tour, but in some cases it would be cheaper to buy a bike :-D

Ich gehe in Wien für einen Deutschkurs. Für den Monat, ich werde da sein. Aber ich möchte vor den Klassen zu reisen. Ich muss planen, diese später im Leben tun, weil ich nicht sehr viel Geld. Sorry für die schlechte Sprache.

Man versteht schon was du meinst, und für den Anfang gar nicht so schlecht.
Das Problem ist, meine cb500 steht momentan komplett zerlegt in der Garage und wird bis zum Sommer auch nicht fertig,
aber ich kann mich ja mal umhören , vielleicht hat wer ein altes Motorrad rumstehen und will es günstig vermieten.
Ein Deutschkurs in Österreich ist auch keine günstige Angelegenheit, wird das ganze von einer Schule oder Universität betreut?
Hast du aussuchen können wohin du fährst , oder war Wien die einzige Möglichkeit?

Danke. Die Klasse wird von der Schule studiere ich an in Texas überwacht. Vielleicht hätte ich warten und sehen, aber amerikanische Dollar ist schwach und ich habe nicht viel zu verzehren. Es wäre lustig, mein Motorrad zu nehmen und fahren sie überall, aber das ist teuer.
  Dies ist das zweite Mal, dass ich nach Europa gehen. Ich möchte einige von Italien und Griechenland vor Kursbeginn zu sehen.


My vocabulary is limited and I do not have a good dictionary. I still struggle with sentence structure. The class is coordinated by the Language department here in my school in Texas.
This is the second time I will go to Europe. I want to travel for June and the class starts in Vienna on the second of July.

A month is not very long to travel but I would like to get to Berlin, Southern Italy and Greece.

The insurance for a motorcycle is high, correct? I might just take one of the scooters out for a day. It would be nice to rent one, but I am spending about $5000 USD, so I think I underestimated the cost of a day trip on a bike.

The insurance shouldn´t be a problem, in the first link i posted, the comprehensive cover costs 20€ a day, ( %5 of damage on own risk, or 1500-2000€ by total loss, worst case scenario) ,  a scooter is 80€ a day with 200km limit, every km more driven costs 0,2€, a honda cbf 600 120€ per day and 200km  more km 0,30/km.
the insurance for my own bike ( only casualty insurance) costs me 25€ a month....
 btw how did you plan to travell from germany to southern italy or greece? per train? or plane? your destinations are a little bit wide spread across europe.
one month is a nice amount of time, we drove our landrover from austria to northcape and back in one month, nice trip, but fuelcosts were eating up a lot of our budget.
