Topic: CB400F Cam Arm

I bought a '76 CB400f with a nasty cam chain rattle and started researching the problem.  I was dismayed to find that one of the critical parts was NLA through Honda.  I'm hoping it simply needs adjusting and with 17,000 miles on it maybe a new cam chain.  I'll know more when I get to messing with it.  In the mean time, I've found this:

Anyone use one to replace their chewed up arm?

I've had a few of these engines apart now, and those things are pretty usable even if they are chewed up.  I wouldn't worry about it too much until you have it disassembled.  Even if it has burrs on it, you might be able to smooth it off enough to make it operate normally.  The Phil Denton replacement would work well though.

Phil Denton stuff is quality but seems expensive, ttr400 also does one.

I almost think that the Phil Denton stuff IS the ttr400 stuff.  It looks WAY too similar.
