New from Wisconsin
« on: February 06, 2011, 12:57:19 PM »
new member to this Site but 45 years of owning/riding many brands of motorcycles. Recently retired after HD forced BUELL Motorcycle to close it doors. I spent 16 years there as the senior Fabricator/Designer in the R&D Dept. I just picked up a Barn find that I'm going to Cafe' (1976 CB550F SS)..

..the motor is free and seems to have good compression..it has a clear title... the bike is originally from Arkansas, so very little corrosion/rust.

Sounds like an excellent project. Keep us up to date on your progress. Some guys do their own project / build thread in the special section. You may want to think about that. You have come to the right place. Lots of good info and it sounds like you can share your expertise too. Again, welcome. Now I have to go watch some pre-game.

Originally from just down the road from you in Sun Prairie, left in '87 to the Corps, all my family is still there though. Good luck with the bike!
