The clutch cable popped on my way home today and the bike is sitting in south philly where i would really rather not leave it. My friend has a van and he says the rear doors open to 4ft by 4ft ... can it fit?

Otherwise it can spend the night there (and hopefully still be), and another friend has a proper motorcycle trailer that I could use tomorrow.

and to make matters worse the front brake started sticking making it really hard to move (i was about to rebuild it), how hard is it to take it off in the dark for the first time?

According to the sec guide, the seat is 32 inches.  So as long as it doesn't have a faring or giant apes to it, then it should make it under 48"

There are a couple bolts on the caliper that just need loosened, no need to take the caliper off all the way.

so i can just loosen the nuts holding it to the fork and slide it off.. cool

Not quite.  There are two bolts that hold the two halves of the caliper together.  Loosen those so that the caliper opens like a clam.  No need to dismount the caliper from the fork, just release it's grip on the disk.

Just in case, bring whatever tool you need to take the mirrors off.

+1 Mirrors need to come off or swing down, it will make it easier.

Or you could just loosen the handlebars and drop everything down. But make sure you don't leak brake fluid on any paint. Good luck!
