Well TG, I was singing the blues but that won't fix the bike again. I ran some regular pump gas through it tonight to burn off the race gas. It fired right up poor thing.  8)

I had my fingers crossed the Krober tach would work again, and it does but reads aprox 2K rpm too high. I'm pretty sure these can be calibrated and will contact the company in Belgium.

I love this tach, it is a tough s.o.b.

Brent sorry to see your bike is beaten up again...imagine that is some footage he does not want his mom to see, but knowing how bikes will flip and flop at high speed with no guidance it probably does not surprise her with it beaten up so bad.  Racing certainly is not an inexpensive endeavour.

Personally I am gonna be mean spirited and hope the guy responsible for so much carnage cannot afford to rebuild his bike.
All that Ti did not save him any money and could cause you to spend even more money.
Anytime you increase the strength of one part you stress another and find the next weakest link in the chain.  Too bad the guy riding the bike is one of those weak links.  Merely makes it more dangerous for others.

they are the best rev counters by far , i have always used them . one ive had since the 70´s its been on rotax´s and aprilias and i have so far failed to kill it , i have had to search a few gravel traps for it mind .

Team Waller got some nice recognition on the VRRA site.  Brent’s bike was used on the main page👍

Start watching from about 23:20 and the crash(at 23:30) is about 100 yards ahead of the bike taking the video.

You can see Tyler pull away from the guy making the video early on(9:32, below)

It was the only video I could find.  Tyler has the front row seat GoPro video footage of course, but I’m thinking he is distracted by his upcoming wedding on Saturday to edit and post the carnage video😉.

FWIW, Brent has another complete set of fairing/fairing mounts, fuel tank, and seat on hand ready to race.  Rearsets and other crash consumables are on hand or easily attainable.  So ideally Brent and Tyler have 4 weeks to put her back together again for the July 27-29th race at Calabogie.  Frame questions, bent fork tubes, wheels OK?  Time will tell.

LOL. That's an FZR600 in a 400 frame to boot. Probably the best combination in the class that day. After the red flag he came down the front straight weaving back n forth as if the race might restart and he was keeping his tires warm...... He never claims to be a front runner.

Crash damage sucks, in the end though I feel lucky. The frame, swingarm, triple clamps and shocks survived. It's wise to have the odd weak link to save more expensive bits. For example, hollow axles reduce weight but can also be considered consumable. Kevin's (ttr400) front axle I was able to straighten. The front wheel was "tweaked" but just needed to be re-trued, forks were bend but salvageable. Otherwise front damage may have been worse.

The rear wheel is fine but the axle was bent in three spots and was replaced. I sent the Krober back to Belgium and it was re-calibrated. That is one fine tachometer and is tough as nails, it's been torn loose and flown away a few times. Of course little repairs like torn apart wiring takes time.

Every bracket known to man gets destroyed as does all bolted on controls, broken master included. Most of this stuff you carry in spares. The lower fairing survived, rest of the glass fibre bits are just that! Thankfully we have spares.

Many thanks to the friends here that help in a big way. This is amateur racing and sponsorship is a rare thing but believe me it is much appreciated.

This has been a very busy summer aside from racing, so my preparation time is limited. Wearing the number 1 plate for 2018 is a big deal so we'll be ready.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Both brake discs are bent and there is something odd with the hub, may need to swap it too.

Did I mention crash damage sucks.  >:(

Hopefully it's just an optical delusion, but the steering head appears to be tweaked to the right in the pic?

Brent, that stinks.  You use the cb500/550 diameter rotors not the larger cb750 rotors right?

OK so I'm stressed.  ???

The discs are fine. After I walked away in a huff then returned after several hours, I realized my balance stand support rod is bent skewing everything. Crap, the silly stuff that happens.

Scottly the frame is ok, must be the picture.

Brent, I can only imagine the frustration and anger you have to deal with on stupid stuff like this causing so much damage.  Even the little stuff adds up too fast.

Glad Tyler came through it fine and the wedding is unaffected by anything related to racing. Congrats to Tyler and his bride on their nuptials.

Holy hell! Breaks my heart to see a VFR like that. Broke the stem clean off! Sudden stops will do that I guess!

I have full confidence in The Master to have his Honda in tip top shape for young Ty to battle for a few podium finishes at the next round.

It's a shorter list mentioning the parts that weren't bent or ruined but suffice it to say we're almost done. Thanks to George for a complete back up set of fibre glass parts saves the day. The Krober is on it's way back from Belgium after re-calibrating, due here Tuesday, then the bike can go in the trailer. We're leaving Thursday for the next race so the month long pit stop is nearly complete.   :o
