Routing wires,cables and tubes 350f
« on: February 20, 2011, 06:10:08 pm »
Finally getting shop time to reassemble my reconditioned parts into a bike. Wanting to make sure things are where they should be. Anyone got a good pic of the underside of the port side cover on their stock 350 ?

I didn't disassemble it all so Just making sure things are going where they belong.

Pic 1
Clutch Cable- between carb 3&4 correct?

Blow by tube will go to the port side of the throttle cable and linkage? (Unlike shown)
Does this go in front or behind the plastic plenum airbox?

Pic 2
Charging system connector/boot and starter  wires- does this go behind and under the plenum air box/ in   front          of     frame tube as shown? It seems to be out of place with no where else to go.

Pic 3
Under the side cover-- Where does the wire to the rectifier run (It seems to dangle unlike usual honda engineering when the rectifier is installed)

Is the bracket at the back for the connector I have put in it?

Only two wires for the three wire blinker here?

Red wire at the front  with "C" shaped profile  tubular connector. How / where does it hook up?

What wires  goes in the clips in the middle under the airbox mounting  bolt?

Any pics of a stock one would be greatly appreciated!

Preemptive THANKYOU!

My clutch cable went between 3-4 as I think most UJM's do.

Go here for a pic of under the side cover.  Green wire loose for flasher.

Perfect!  Thanks.  Fusible link, and wires route clear to see where the rectifyer.

Looks like a zip tie will hold the flasher- or duct tape the rubber together.

Didn't want all that stuff haphazzard and dangling.

The Honda 350-400 four service manual has a very good set of routing diagrams for the 400, one of the last pages in the book. The 350 should be very similar except for some odd details.

A while back I found a great little scan of the cable and tube routing for the CB350F and CB400F. The scan is labeled www.hondafour.com and www.honda4fun.com but I'm not sure that's where I got it from.

Click on the image for a bigger version as the forum automatically scales it down. I don't have a high resolution copy so you'll have to make do with this.

Rick.

That's great, thanks. The linked photo above helped up also.  Biggest  problem was the rectifyer and the flattened bolt that orients it. It was rotated where the wires wanted to go up or down, not straight out as in the photo.

Once I corrected that it made sense.

Thanks!  That diagram is definitely going on the hard disc.
