Ditto. I have a buddy with an old Triumph 500 he's been putting together slowly for quite some time. I love the look of it, but it makes my fanny hurt to think about riding it.

They aren't as bad as you would suspect. Half of it is just taking your weight off the seat for big bumps. If you have ever ridden dirt bikes much, I would compare riding styles to that.

I set out to start shaping some foam to make my seat mold, and I decided to put my chain on and blast around the yard instead. Of course that lead to riding around the neighborhood. Aside from jumping the gun before tightening everything down properly and having to borrow a wrench to tightrn the kickstart, that bike is a blast. I have to rethink a few things for clearance reasons, though. I think yours was a dud, D. That 360 has some gumption.

That makes me happier that I got rid of it then, and more so that yours is running well. I'll be holding on to those spare parts till your ready.

I'm very pleased that it toted my fat ass with such gusto, but it still needs testing and tuning. I had no speedo and the exhaust sans mufflers may be deceiving me to think i was flying. Still, made me grin pretty big.

Bored up at work. Gonna go grey primer with white top till I get all the bodywork finished, then the Sea Blue for the real thing.

Going to get some oil on my lunch, then try and button up the gaskets tonight for the cl.

One year only for 66. Supposedly worth some money to certain folks, but I don't see that happening. Going to pull the motor as soon as I get this cl going. Found some NOS 1300 piston/cylinder kits that I may snatch up to freshen the top end.

I know.

I can fit 1500 or 1600 jugs and pistons as a straight bolt in. Problem with that is it becomes a big spiral of money and time thrown at it. I would have to get heads to match or flycut my existing with the smaller valves, upgrade the carb, carb adapter, vaccum distributor, and so on. Maybe later, but for now I just want to drive it and tinker as time/money allows.
