Ideas for nice carb intake tubes?
« on: March 07, 2011, 09:49:28 PM »
I am looking at replacing the black tubes between the carbs and the heads.  Is there some other product that looks better than those rubber tubes?

The problem with just throwing something else on is the diamete "step" from the intake to the head.  This will create flow turbulence and screw up the tuning...  The stickers do a pretty good job of keepin the diameter equal all the way thru, so just renew an old set and call it good!

Why bike btw?

Oh ya, wrong section.  This should belong in the SOHC/4 forums.

Could try the boots TinTop is using for his anti-pod system. Or hell, get an anti-pod.

Somewhere in that thread are pictures of different colored boots that he is offering. Dunno if it would fit stockers, but worth a look up and a plug of a cool guy's stuff.

OP is asking about the manifold boots, not the airbox boots.
