Come on guys, I see way too many "viewers" that aren't riders on the Rally. It starts in 4 days. What's with that?? Seriously, why have sooo many of you guys NOT signed on for YOUR 2011 SOHC4.net Relay Rally? Many people have put many hours into this in hopes to bring our membership together for this one common cause. Do you guys not ride? Do you not take your bike out of town? Make me understand your plight. Yeah, work and family are legit reasons, totally understand that. Maybe you SHOULDN'T get your bike on the open road. Know why? Because you would want to do it more often.

My invitation to all our members and guests stands until the ride reaches Seaweb's place on Gabriola Island, BC. Then it's too late because it's over.

Get 'em outta tha garage and on tha road

You tell 'em Jerry, don't just look at that bike, ride the crap out of it. Me and my crew will have a blast this weekend when we pull out of Atlanta headed to Savannah. Photos and stories to follow next week, maybe that will motivate you guys to ride.

JG, This whole relay ride is gonna be AWESOME!!!! But, I'll only sign up IF i could figure out where the ride is gonna go through my area. I wouldn't wanna sign up only to see that I can't do it. Would the route be going through the Chicago area? Are there any locked-down rally points in the Chicago area yet? I REALLY want to be a part of this (albeit limited).

You are one of the lucky riders that have 2 regions at your disposal! Check in with Don R of Team Central and Old Scrambler of Team Northern ie WI, SD, ND, MN, etc (Northern is easier

). Fully understand where you're coming from. Stay in the loop and as it gets closer to you join in the fun

Better rates for early signees though

You either pay $0 now or $0.00 later. Can't beat the rates!

When are you shipping out? The timetable should be pretty close for Team South now. Hope you can make it! It would be great if you could meet the guys at the event at Barber's Motorsport Museum

Still trying to pull a rabbit out of my arse, Jerry. Catastrophe averted, and engine is now back in the bike. Will test it this weekend. One way or another I'm going to be at Willow Springs/A.P.E in Socal when the rally comes through in April.

Hell yeah!! You're the Grand Marshall for the ride around Willow Springs. I have cylinder sleeves on the way to Jay. Picking up the 2 pistons and shipping those and cylinders tomorrow also. I'm not sure at this point about mine.

Hey Cuts,

As soon as we head out on Saturday we'll be learning from this BIG experiment for 2012. We'll put what we learn to task and make it better for 2012. I'm thinking we'll be better able to schedule the ride days next year rather than just fill in the blanks like this year. Hoping so anyway. Many of the guys may not have ridden far either and may have trouble meeting up down the road. I'd like to somehow work around the down times we will have too between the weekends. It'll never be perfect but it will get better

I need excused, I'll be involved in 16 weeks of deprivation and hedonism known as rock and roll touring. The work will end up destroying my May 1st deadline and setting me back all the way to the end of July. It will however provide funds for more bike parts and powder coat.

Any more excuses???....... This is way sad!!!!!!....We have all these people on this forum and its like alot of them won't even make an attempt to take part in this awesome ride. I can understand some everyday life issues getting in the way for some but WOW!!!!!.....there are so many that just ..."TALK THE TALK" !!!! .....this is a "SOHC FORUM " people!!!!!................Let us step up and seperate the true fans from the wanna bees once and for all!!!!...

If ya can't bring yourself to gettin' a BIG SOHC tack on yer arm for everyone to see................or at least doin' 500 miles on the relay.........get on down the road with yer sh!t!!!!!!.....................just sayin'....

Easy now, I know lots of our members would love to participate, but this whole endeavor was whipped up rather quickly. I know I felt the pressure when I agreed to take point because everything down the line hinged on my kick-off schedule. I think we've done pretty good so far, especially for a loosely organized group of forum members, many of whom have never even met one another! We're all scrambling to pull this off and would love to have as many members (and non-members even) participate as possible. Those who couldn't join us this year will have much more time to prepare for next years bigger and better relay! Especially after they see the pictures and read the reports about what a great time we are having!

I know life has a nasty way of imposing itself on many of my recreational pursuits...

I haven't even considered this ride. While there is still plenty of snow on the ground here it has actually been raining and sleeting for the last 5 days straight. There are still lots of icy patches on the roads every morning and in fact more snow is predicted for all of the later half of this week. For this time of year this is common weather.

From my point of view anyone who plans a ride this time of year just isn't paying attention to real life riding conditions, at least not in this part of the country. I imagine the same things could be said by almost anyone in PA, OH, IL, or in fact just about any state north of I-70, which if I remember correctly constitutes about 2/3 of the population of the country.
