Epic Sean!

I'll definitely have to make it further next year!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Godzilla was handed off to me at about 5:00 p.m. today a couple miles south of the North Dakota / Manitoba border.

After a lengthy wait in line at the border, Godzilla was getting fed up and shot one mean glare at the customs officer, and we were waved through in a hurry. We rolled into Winnipeg, Manitoba about 7:30 p.m. tonight.

Godzilla is now an honorary Canadian citizen.

As jneuf said, 'Zilla is back in Canada!  Here are a few pictures from his stay in Sioux Falls and before the dropoff at Dakota Magic Casino.

I will have to put up the few pics I got. With the route I had, there was not much eventful terrain. The eastern part of ND is pretty boring. Maybe next time a meet could be arranged north of dunseith ND and maybe jneuf can make it there or I can pick him up at neche and we can go west on highways.
Obviously this will have to happen again! :D

I'll have a few pics to put up today as well. And I'll agree, eastern ND and up to Winnipeg on Hwy #75 isn't a particularly fun ride! I'd love to ride out in the western part of the state...next time!

I think I'll take Godzilla out on the town tonight..

Be very careful jneuf!  It's his second visit to our land & fourth province, customs guys must have heard of his rep & waved him thru, path of least resistance!  He likes our beer & girls & is fluent in both official languages so... let him have his way & pass him on ASAP! Godzilla wanted out tonight, so I strapped him to my handlebars and took him around Winnipeg. He is definitely fluent in both languages, as he had a particularly good time in the french quarter. He insisted on hitting some of the sketchy Winnipeg drinking establishments....some pics below, more to come later...

Picture 1: Hand-off of Godzilla in Pembina, North Dakota. Jon (AKA Skunk Stripe) on the left, and me on the right. Great to put a face to the name after planning this for awhile. Jon was a great guy, wish I could have stuck around longer to chat!

Picture 2: Godzilla decided to mimic the pose of Louis Riel, founder of Manitoba.

Picture 3: Godzilla hanging out at the Manitoba Legislative Building. There was a group of Japanese tourists taking pictures as well...after they saw Godzilla, they fled. `Zilla had a good time here, as he felt a bond with the "Golden Boy" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Boy_%28Manitoba%29), who also likes to hang out on the top of buildings...

Picture 4: Godzilla hanging out in St. Boniface, Winnipeg's french quarter. The Esplanade Riel (bridge) is in the background. Note that Godzilla is also checking out the progress on Manitoba's Museum of Human Rights. Who knew Godzilla would have an interest in human rights...?

Picture 5: Many may not know this, but 'Zilla is as vicious under water as he is on land. He can survive in the ocean for indefinite periods of time...Winnipeg has been particularly dry as of late, so he decided to jump into the Red River at The Forks, a popular Winnipeg tourist destination...

and last but not least, after 'Zilla kept asking to hit up the bar, we settled on the Royal Albert, a staple in Winnipeg. Perhaps the best music venue in Western Canada....Fellow Winnipeggers will agree...

...more to come later!

I was surprised too, jneuf.  When he was visiting Michigan, I took him with me to work in Battle Creek.  He ran off during lunch.  Took forever to track him down!  And where did I find him?  He was paying his respects at  the Underground Railroad Memorial downtown!

I also found out that he's quite the environmentalist too.  Here he is offering to clean up the Embridge oil spill by setting the river on fire and burning it off!  the nice man in the HazMat suit and air boat said that they would take care of it tho.

On the way back to the office, we buzzed by the World Headquarters of the Kellogg Company.  He got a little chocked up when he noticed that the Japanese flag was flying out front.

He seemed a little home sick so I brought him to the Japanese gardens.

It was a busy day trying to keep him entertained!  Here he is relaxing afterwards with a nice tall cupa lava.

Round trip 737 km 0r 458 miles, few detours I could have cracked the 500 mile club. Left at 0530 got back home 1830.  I think it's time I got some padding on my seat.
