New Control switch trouble!
« on: March 21, 2011, 07:37:51 PM »
Hey Guys,
I bought a left side handle bar control switch from dime city cylces.  I'm having issues getting the signal lights to work, the headlight and horn work fine....   My bike is a 76 Honda cb750f and it seems that the switch is missing some connections in order for signals to work.  The switch only has three connections for the signal lights(Right Turn signal/left turn signal/ T/S main wire)  but my bike has those plus a connection to the signal relay, signal buzzer, and wire to each signal light for the running lights....
Has anyone installed one of these??? Can it be done?? ???

You need 3 wires. Power in from the flasher relay and orange/blue out.

Power runs from the main buss to the flasher to the switch. The dash signals connect in the headlight bucket. Don't know where the buzzer connects.

Buzzer will be a brn/blue in the bucket if you have one the other wire goes to blk. or/wh is the park position so is the blue/wh. brn/whi are your dash speedo/tach.

Thought I would rewrite this the colors are correct it just did not look clear enough :(

Buzzer wires are brown/blue in bucket if you have it. Other buzzer wire goes to black in bucket.
orange/white is for the park on the left front signal
blue/white is for the park on the right front signal
brown/white is for speedometer and tachometer back lights
Roach is correct the blue is for the right turn
orange is for the left turn
see what is going on blue and blue/white right front side
orange and orange/white left front side
the rear turns signals do not have a park wire.
This info is for a 750K8 I think the turn circuit is the same for all

Is this a after market Sw. or factory original? did it come with a diagram? If after market I would need to put a meter on it. Or post a picture and you have meter handy.

Power in from the flasher to the gray, orange/blue to their respective sides.
