Got myself a new helmet today.
« on: March 24, 2011, 10:21:42 PM »
As you all know my old motorcycle helmet had been affected in the vandalism on my car. Fortunately i was able to clean it up. But i did order a new helmet as well. I also ordered a new tinted visor for the new lid and used the new clear visor that came with the new one on the old one to finish the clean up and restoration of the messed up helmet. The Black helmet is my old HJC FS-10 which was in the car when it was vandalized. The helmet with the graphics is the new one i ordered on monday which is an HJC CL-16 Slayer. On to the pics...

That's cool.  Do you wear glasses by any chance ??   is there enough  room for a pair of glasses with that inner visor down ?

I have the yellow visor like yours. Works for sunny days and clears up vision in cloudy weather without wearing sun glasses.
Nice helmet :)

You mean the yellow insert for the Pinlock visor? Thats great to know. i was considering the idea of eventually picking up the yellow insert.

Been looking at helmets to replace my crappy chinese modular. I like the modular idea but they are heavier. That internal sunshade is awesome. I will have to look for that. Beats fitting sunglasses on.

Nice lid DR, love the Sons of Anarchy reaper on it. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Lol Chose to go with a tinted visor since the CL-16 doesnt have the internal sun shade like the FS-10

My new helmet (bad phone pic)

I'm debating on what visor to get for it. The black looks the coolest, but I've also heard good things about the yellow.

I had considered that helmet but I noticed a couple years ago I get anxiety attacks with sunglasses that are very close to my eyes.  They are sunglasses that you use while skiing.  I ended up with a CL-MAX.  I like it so far.  I love my SHOEI but the padding is literally turning to dust.  Lots of little black dots on my head when I take it off.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
