Topic: 1978 750K cream-puff

Today, ran a troubleshoot on the turn signal relay. It was blinking very irregularly. Months ago I purchased a relay just in case and stepping in to take a look at pulling the old one out today I noticed something unusual; Another scooter part the PO had slapped on the bike!

These are the "champagne problems" I alluded to in my introduction. Pull out and toss the junk, plug in OEM part. Done.

Since I thought this would take longer, I pulled off the headlamp can and detailed and waxed the wiring harness and all the nether regions north of the head tube. I don't guess I will need to do that again for a decade or so. A labor of love....

Bike looks super clean. Check out my thread as I'm doing the same stuff to my '78...hope to get it as nice as yours. Had to replace lots just to get it back to OEM as it was missing some stuff.

The '77 seat is a better seat though IMO. It's truer to the classic CB look, and it suits taller riders better. My '78 will have a '77 seat in about a day. I also hate the seat rack, but I know I'm probably a minority. To me, it breaks the simplicity of the rear. But then again, I'm sure if mine had it, I'd be skeptical to remove it. 

But realistically, I just turned my bike into a '77k. It's only identifiable as a '78 by the frame badge.

I don't have too many pictures of my first '78K but I loved that bike and I'm sure you will too. It had everything; Speed, reliability and "the look".
