Topic: Adjusting Carb Sliders

I recently rebuilt the carbs on my CB750K3 utilizing the instructuions from www.salocal.com/sohc/tech/carb.

Great instructions and very easy to follow.  When it came to adjusting the sliders, the instructions indicate using a thicker wire first and then a thinner wire: http://www.salocal.com/sohc/tech/carb/asmpg3/syncprep.htm

Any idea why you just cant use the thinner wire and do it once?  Seems like you would get the same result.
