how do you adjust the clutch

how do you adjust the clutch with the nut the one the on the spocket cover? Which way do you turn the nut to make the clutch engage quicker

Back off all (both?) the cable adjusters to get maximum slack . Loosen locknut on left cover.
UNSCREW slot head screw until you get slight resistance. ('lightly seated') Screw back in about 1/4~ 1/3rd turn. Hold screw, tighten locknut. Adjust lower cable adjuster. Handlebar adjuster is for onthe road adjustments between services.
