Hey,
My name is Jack and I finally picked up my first SOHC Honda. My dad had a 76' CB750 when I was a kid, and I thought that was the greatest motorcycle ever. I sat on that bike any chance a had, and would always ask to go for a ride. That's me in the pic.
So, now I'm 40 and looking for a new project. I've built a few hot rods and other cars over the years, and it's time for a motorcycle. I also no long have room to build a car, so that made the choice to build a bike even easier.
Yesterday I brought home my new toy. She's a 1977 CB750K. 27K+ on the odometer and in not to bad shape for a 34 year old.
My plan is to get her road worthy and do a mild cafe build. Nothing to crazy, but still in the classic "Ton Up" style of the late 50's and 60's. Then over the winter, I'll strip her down completely. I'll blast and repaint the frame, replace the big bulbous tank, have the motor rebuild and put her all back to gether for next season. Should be fun.
I'm sure I'll be looking for lots of help and parts. Thanks in advance to all The masters and gurus out there. I'm going to need you're knowledge more than a few times. I'm glad I found this forum, and I'm happy to be here.
