It probably had the ducktail originally. The changes you have planned though should really help out the final selling price. It would have also come with a plastic chain guard if you have one of those,maybe the "shorty" but a longer plastic is a good selling point. Original shocks were painted black under the springs as well. Lotsa little things on the earlier ones. Will be interested to hear what issues the original engine had,hopefully nothing to major.  PS-If you ever have any odd ball HM341 exhaust pipes for sale let me know,looking for some 2's and 3's to complete a couple sets. Are your pipes 300,s?

Keep in mind Gold paint was not used til in the 16K serial range, but people did use that color on earlier ones.
 I cant see the point of trying to make a KO , even near KOrrect without a ducktail seat..I mean without a ducktail, and the lovered sidecovers, it does not begin to look like a stock KO..
