Bronze Swingarm Bushings
« on: April 24, 2011, 10:40:28 am »
Hey guys, Happy Easter.

So springs here and its time to work on the bike again. I want to replace my swingarm bushings on my K5 750. Since Hondaman recommended the 841 "Oilite" bushings, I figure I'll invest in those, but so far I haven't had any luck finding a supplier.

I've talked with M3, and apparently the aftermarket bushings they offer are made out of SAE 660, which isn't oil impregnated.

Anybody know of one that sells 841 bearings?

Parts N More has oilite bushings. I made my own, and am pretty happy with the result. Hondaman makes them absolutely bomber...if you have the money, he is the way to go.

I took a look and it didn't really specify what they were made out of, in fact it didn't give much info at all. It just showed a picture of bronze-like bushings. Also that site isn't to clear on the different models. They list both a CB750 and a CB750K, which confuses me.

I'm a bit wary of ordering from places like those that don't give you much info. Seems a bit shady.

Okay, I'm not having too much luck finding them on my own, so how much does Hondaman's rebuild service cost?
