Desperatly seeking a head gasket

I am unable to source a head gasket from my usual supplier and I'm in desperate need of a high-comp. gasket with a 73mm bore.
Any body in Ozz have a suggestion?

By the by we have three weeks till the Winton 2+4 meeting and our motor is still spread all over the work shop :-[ :-[ :-[

 If you can find a solid copper ot aluminum one of any size, blue it ...fit it over barrel, scribe, and open it up..

I have gaskets for a 73mm bore Brian, what type of gasket were you looking for, I will have to go digging because all my stuff is still in boxes but if my memory serves me correctly i think its copper....I will need this replaced , no money involved, if what i have is what you need, i will send you mine with postage and you can do the same in return....Off to check.... ;)

Sorry Brian, i just checked and i have 2 sets of gaskets but they are 72mm and 71mm. Try Terry mate i am pretty sure he has some 73mm stuff, you could also try Mick7504 He's in Darwin and also has a variety of big bore stuff.....Sorry i couldn't be of more help mate.... ;)

I just went through this fiasco with my 836. I could not find one anywhere. But now Dynoman has them back in stock.

Thanks mate, I have a 72mm gasket and I will modify to fit if I have to.
I'm trying to avoid it if I can though, because we have had a history of gasket failure with this motor.

Thanks for that but it's actually a 71mm gasket that can be filed back. Trying to avoid that if possible.
