teased by an abandoned bike
« on: May 17, 2011, 12:43:20 AM »
So my son knows I'm at a bit of a lose end right now having all our bikes pretty much finished and running like tops.
Anyhow a few weeks ago he was called to a job at a house and around the back he tripped over a large looks mostly complete bike leaning up against a fence and rapidly becoming part of the greenery. Did I want another project bike...Hell he needed to ask! Anyhow he's with the cops down South right now patrolling the ruined streets of Christchurch so I'm screwed for getting a look at this mystery bike.
I told him if it's nothing I want to rebuild then I'll clean and strip it for parts and we can part out out to put some extra $$ into his wedding fund for next year.
Man I so need to know what that bike is....this is killing me! :o
What's the chances it's a CB750???!!!!????? :-\ now that would blow me away. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Only a Honda?  Come on set your sights a little higher.  Maybe it's a Vincent Black Shadow. ;)

Think how that would look posted in the Abandoned Thread. ;D

Actually I know exactly where a Vincent Black Shadow is, it's been there for 40 years!
A friend of mine's father owned one from new, he came off it and never walked the same again, it lay in his shed for a few years and then seeing that his growing son (my mate) was taking an interest in bikes and fearing he might inherit the killer matchine he CUT IT UP INTO LITTLE PIECES AND MIXED IT INTO THE CEMENT OF HIS NEW GARAGE FLOOR!!!
Seriously that is where it lies, he was an engineer so he wrestled the motor into a boat, adding a marine jacket to it after trimming the air fins and used it for many years.  The fact that the same bike would on todays market pay off my mate's mortgage crosses his mind often. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

OK you are all on, a chocolate fish to the person who correctly guesses just what is lying in deepest darkest Flaxmere.
I should have a result in a week's time.

Yep Radam we got CL350's here in Godzone, if it's one of those I'll be keeping it, I'm very fond of the wee Honda twins.
Srust, more like I swear to Gawd it was running when I stole it! ;D

KZ 1000 street bike with a 1075 kit built and owned by the guy that did the engines for Vance and Hines. Oh wait, that's the one I found.

my real vote is a 350F,  if it is can I have it??

I miss mine more than ever. The ironic part is that my old '73 CB350F was purchased by a close family member and I get it back on the day their will is read.  Talk about mixed feelings.......lol

That would be the part out. I understand the drag racers like the old big suzi's. Rollerbearing cranks, I think.
