Looking to replace front brake joint
« on: May 26, 2011, 12:08:45 PM »
Anyone know of any good resources or places that carry replacements for the Front brake joint and switch? I'm trying to get rid of that weird angled one thats on the front.

My master cylinder has the switch built-in (1978 model).  The hose from the master cylinder goes straight to the caliper - nothing in between.  This could be an option for you.

Otherwise, a lot of other bikes used similar connections, so you may need to tour a junkyard.

I've never seen any aftermarket equivalents.
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.

ive thought of this. but then i didn't see how my brake light would still work or get a signal if i connected that hose to my caliper. But i found out today that joint is very easily modified so D.U.N AND DONE! thanks for your help man.
