cb100 pod filter?

thinking about getting rid of the air box and running a pod. has anyone out there done this?

I havent but i would like to run a uni filter so ill tag along to find out. Im planning on doing the same thing. I know these motors react big time to filter changes. I had my air box cover not bolted on all the way and the bike was running and idleing strange. So i expect the same thing with a pod filter.

Go with the stock set up...it will flow as much as you need and you will keep the low
end torque curve you need on that bike for passing.
  I have a good used exhaust system up for sale; all original from 71' w/ a baffle
intact   reasonable price.

FF that build is suhweet!  I've been toying with the idea of a pod on my hundo, but the ones on my 750 are giving me enough of a headache for right now!

Well i did it. Slapped on a Uni filter. It fired right up, made a small adjustment to the idle and it worked fine. Then i chopped off my CL exhaust and it still ran. Sounded like crap but it ran. I was very surprised at how well it was running when i had the filter and the normal exhaust. Made me very hopeful on clearing out the old air box and moving the battery under the rear seat.

Yeah i hate it. I would like to run a straight pipe to the back but i dont think it would sound much better. Im trying to find a reverse megaphone but its hard to find any exhaust that has a 1 1/4" intake side. Not even Cone Engineering makes one that goes down that small. I would like to run a high pipe but for now ill switch back to the stock pipe.

I had a longer CL pipe made up.

sounded alot better, but still not good
bike ran a million times better as well
