Most of the connections are made in the headlight bucket.  Green=Ground.

Ryan,

In the FAQ section of this forum, there is a discussion on Honda motorcycle electrics.  An important page is the color codes.  Basically, GREEN is ground, RED is unswitched 12v and BLACK is switched 12V.  Very much NOT like what you would expect to see under the hood of car.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Ive got the seat off tank off and looking at the wiring. EVerything is connected but damn im imtimidated. I know nothing about wiring. Like i said one blinker worked and the brake light worked. the headlight has no bulb. Guess i should replace bulbs first? the battery is toast but the guy i got it from had it hooked up on the charger and got enough juice for lights. all the dash lights worked also. When you put the left blinker on i think the right blinker came on. Right blinker switch made a noise almost like a horn noise but the horn button worked but sounded different. any ideas?
