So, I started with a rough running K7.

Some people think dual carbs are cool(makes it look like a 350 which I like)

Current stuff:
Aluminum Excels out at anodizer getting deep red.
Tank and tail from Benjie
Rearsets TBD
engine degreased but needs more work.

My last build was aluminum but steel throws much more satisfying sparks!!!

Yah I'm intrigued. Want to see those twin carbs fitted, never seen that. Is the headlight bucket w/ speedo a Carpy buy? Been thinking about converting to one like that and get rid of the clutter up front. If the CB ends up looking as good as the StreetFighter it will be a real fun build to watch.

Thx. Yes, thats one of Carpys. Ill likely match the paint from the tank to the headlight housing, but need to decide on that first. Im going to run a simple harness and use an RFID keyless ignition that Ill hide in the headlight housing. Trying to keep the bars super clean. I cant wait for the tank and tail so I can actually sit on the bike for the first time and fab up some mounts for rearsets.

What 2 carbs are you using to replace the stock 4? I like the idea of that, I have a 650 and just kind of curious. Might like to try that one day, and tell everybody how I got the idea...

That's them. Usually reserved for choppers with backbones since clearing the stock frame is nearly impossible. Nothing a sawsall, grinder and welder can't fix.

Thanks! Those are early 80s CB900 rear shocks. And yes, they looked much rougher before I got a hold of them!

Thanks, yea it is a lot of work but I didnt buy it to take short cuts and I wanted to separate it from the sea of other 750 cafes.

Those CB 900 shocks, you did a great job on! Did you rebuild the shocks and if so where did you find the parts? Also isn't the CB900 shock a little taller than what you had before...I'm thinking of switching from my Asia nitrogen shock to these if I can get the height right and replace the bushings etc. Thanks again its great what you are doing. My build is the Pegasus bike in the project part of the forum.

Thanks. It is a little taller which will level out the frame(which I like). I did buy new bushings and spent a ton of time cleaning/sanding and then masked and primered and painted the bodies.

Thanks for the info...great job they look way better than the modern $140.00 Asia nitrogen shocks or the aftermarkets available...although there may be just a little sacrifice in performance. I think I will try eek out a pair to work with.
