Alternator output at idle????
« on: June 16, 2011, 10:28:14 AM »
I saw in the repair manual that an A puts out 290W at 5000 rpm's. What does it put out at idle?

Thanks

Less.  If it mimics what the other SOHC4s do, idle is roughly 1/3 of full output wattage.  But, I've never dealt directly with the A model.

If it follows the output of the other 750's do not be surprised if you are running a deficit at idle. If I recalled correctly you begin charging the battery around 2300.
