Oil cooler plumbing verification
« on: June 22, 2011, 03:09:19 PM »
Just wanted to verify that this was the correct set-up for this manifold and adapter plate. It appears to be correct based on oil flow diagrams. The lines cross, instead of coming in on each side as I normally see. Not a big deal, but I just need some verification that I have the lines routed properly for oil flow.

It looks right as long as the pic shows the engine side of the adapter plate (pretty sure it does ) .

This is correct.
The filter flows outside to onside, the visible hole on the engine side connects to the IN thermostat port. The OUT port connects to a hole on the filter side, feeding to the outside of the filter. Then cooled and filtered oil flows back through the centre of the attaching bolt and threaded adapter.
The lines cross so that the thermostat is flowing correctly.
